I am confused... We are talking about two different people. Andre Costa Furtado
was born 10 Sept 1701 in Agua d'Alto, was married twice, first to Catarina de
Mattos with whom he had 10 children and second to Catherina de Oliveyra with
whom he had 13 children. [A very busy man!] I have direct relatives from both
marriages. By the way, Catherina de Oliveyra's line goes back to D. Teresa
Afonso, daughter of D. Alfonso of Aragon & D. Maria Gomes Cogominha. D.
Teresa's grandfather was D. Pedro of Aragon, Queen Saint Isabella's
half-brother, the illegitmate son of King Pedro III of Aragon.
Andre Furtado de Sousa was born 14 Nov 1722 in Ponta Garca married to
Escolastica de Medeiros.
Perhaps I missed some of this discussion. Working third shift make the mind
numb sometimes. :) Take care.
