Eric, Thanks for clarifying some points. I had wondered whether men could pass the trait on to their daughters, much the way women can be carriers of hemophilia and, I think, color blindness. I guess not.

If you have a population where women tend to have many children and later in life, there will be more twins. Men have nothing to do with this . It is not a trait passed from fathers to daughters.
