Ellen, They've been coming online for years now. I think parish registers we see on the CCA site has been the last 2 years. I remember hearing Joao Ventura speak in 2007 that the records were ready to go but tied up in red tape about the cut off year due to privacy. It seem that took a year for the government to decide. I think the "passaportes" has been coming online like 6 years (or more).
