Repost for Cheryl Wong: <<Thank you everyone also for sharing your stories about the ship, The Sagres. I visited it again last night with all its lights on. The waters shimmered with its lights. I guess I can't help reflecting how brave our forefathers were to 60 - 90 days on the oceans to arrive in Hawaii. A 2 hour boat ride is my limit. I can't even imagine what it must have been like, being on a ship hitting stormy seas around South America. Obviously great captains, the ships arrived safely to the Terra Nueva. Last night when I boarded the ship for its last public viewing here, I privately celebrated all our forefathers who immigrated, and prayed that the Lord give the same courage to, and care for all their descendants.
