OK, when they say the festa starts at 7 pm with presentation of the incoming queens, we know it's off by 15 - 20 minutes.
I've got to take Friday night freeway traffic into account, so my 30 minute drive takes 90 minutes. My appointment takes longer than expected and I only have an hour to get there. But the festa won't start at 7 pm. It'll start at 8pm. The queens were in the beauty shop this afternoon. The jewelry shop next door was robbed and everything went into lock down. After 4 hours, the queens escaped out the back door (or so goes one story going around the hall) and make it to the festa so we can begin.
