Hello Jerry,

You are most welcome! I hope at least some of the information helped.

Are you in need of additional help such as Census Records etc., once they
arrived in the States or is your need/want for records for the time period
(Azores)?

Best of luck on your search.

Regards,
Michelle

at NEHGS so they may have been married in Portugal as well.
Joseph A. Ventura abt 1903 in Portugal.

John V. Ventura abt 1905 in Portugal.

Maria was born 1906 in New Bedford. Vol: 558 ; Page: 327 but I can't pull up
the record. Will continue to try. Maria married Noah Chaves on June 27, 1930.

Merlin Ventura (aka/Marion) was born 9/14/1909 in New Bedford. Merlin had
surgery according to an article at UMass Dart (3/3/1949). As you can see he was
living at 62 Hathaway Street, New Bedford at the time.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church.

David Ventura may have been born after 1915 because I can't find his birth
record at NEHGS. He did get married to an Eva Hopkins though according to UMass
Dart and they had a girl on 4/21/1946. David & Eva may have gotten divorced
because I found an Eva Ventura with Edward Swiatkowski in 1957. Just not sure

  NASCIMENTOS - dated June 27, 1919

—Junho 25, fim filho de Manuel Ventura. 49 Rochambeau St. Child's name not
mentioned but obviously from what I found above it was Adelino's birth notice.

Evelyn Ventura...uncertain of birth year. Found an article with an Evelyn
Ventura & Manuel Barcelos living at 159 Angus St., Somerset, MA giving birth to
a female in July of 1965...Just not sure if it's the same Evelyn.

Hope some of this is new information for you.

Best of luck in your search.

I was hoping for a second (or third, fourth, etc :)
) set of eyes to help me with this. The handwriting isn't too bad, and neither
is the image quality but I'm not recognizing the names I'm seeing. I don't know
if they're just ones I'm not familiar with or if I'm just seeing the wrong
thing.

Here is a link to the image:

anyone.
