George, I don't know about ancestors; however, my mother-in-law talked about having someone in the family that had one blue and one brown eye. Her mother was born in Rosario, Lagoa, Sao Miguel; her father in Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel and her mother-in-law in Lomba da Santa Barbara, Sao Miguel. My research has found that both her mother and mother-in-law descended from Belchior Baldaia do Rego. I don't know if that helps you any. Celeste, Hayward, CA
