Today's Topic Summary
Thank you Valdenai, I will work on the decsendants of both Antonio Lopes da
Fonseca (from Terceira and Joao Fonseca b. about 1475 in Lagoa, Portugal and
see if I can find the connection to Francisco Lopes da Fonseca. As you have
them in your descendants of Beatriz Macedo I will see if I can work it out.

And thnk you Celeste, it is great the way we all connect up over and over
again. It helps when the direct route is not apparent at first. The daughter of
Francisco Lopes da Fonseca is Inez Pereira m Francisco Costa Goulart
15.1.1710. at Sao Mateus (ref. UMinho database, Sao Mateus). In the
Antipassados de Joao Andrade Macedo (my gg grandfather) she is listed as Ines
Pereira Macedo m. Francisco Costa Goulat 15.1.1710 at Sao Mateus (ref. UMinho,
Madelena database).

My aunt who was brought up by her grandfather Jose Andrade Macedo and was a
very very well educated person wrote that this family came from Terceira. Hence
I am trying to connect Francisco Lopes da Fonseca back to there and Antonio
Lopes da Fonseca but when???. So many of these family conections are eventually
to be found via Brazil or Faial. There are enough connections to make me sure I
am on the right track, but any input from anyone is very welcome. I guess put
very simply I am fishing.
