Sorry, Eileen & other folks, I CAN enlarge it, and what I see is very
plainly "JULHO." It reads: "Falleceu em 31 do mez de Julho (the year
and place of death should follow, but they don't. The year is most
likely 1941 as appears at the bottom which is the date the record was
posted)." Anyway, it goes on to say: "Registo no. 89  Em livro de
emolumentos* sobre* o no.1150 Villa Franca do Campo, trez Dezembro
1941.[signed by Rocha].  OK I'll stop yelling now - I was just
kidding! (:-:)

* the words emolumentos & sobre are abbreviated
