Iris, Sorry to say but it seems our Portuguese ancestors chose to use whatever names they liked whenever they liked. So whoever was the informant on her death record probably knew her as Marianna Augusta. Their baptism records are great as they not only give parents but grandparents and where they came from, which a lot of other countries did not do, but when it come to names they chose to use going to other countries, and sometimes even within their own, its like whatever seemed to fit at the time and sometimes even the spelling of the names varied.
