Upon browsing through this email, I notice that you have a relationship to a Maria Vieria - just wondering if you have a connection with my family???? I am hoping! I am in total admiration of those people who are able to retrace their family back 8 or 9 generations, I am struggling with mine. Anyway, I am continueing on with my search for information about the Simmiss, or Simas line and also the Vicira or maybe known as Vieira line. I have managed to locate the marriage certificate (a year ago) of my g g grandfather who was William Joseph Simmiss, known as Joseph Simmiss nee Vieira or Vicira. , He married on 22 August 1887, at age 39 to . Susan Eliza Davy of Motueka, Nelson, NZ his parents were Joseph Vieria or Vicira mother Theresa Vieria nee Simmiss which would mean they were my g g g grangparents On the birth certificate of one of the children, it states that Joseph (gg grandfather) was born in the Azores.
