Ok, Elaine, the positive affirmation I suggest is:  "I found her!"

Now I know it is hard to keep saying that, putting up slips of paper on your
car visor, bathroom mirror, etc.  I did this when I quit smoking and as I
smoked, I read the affirmation.  It took awhile; however, it did happen for
me.  Remember who wom the grand prize at the confeence???

Celeste,

Would you please pass that guiding hand on to me.  I still desperately want to
find my grandmother born somewhere in the Azores ca 1850-55.  I am still
keeping a positive attitude but it has led me positively nowhere!

My search for my ancestors has taught me that taking one day at a time and also
keeping a positive attitude seem to be rewarded in my searches by my finding
things without knowing where to look.  I truly believe there is a hand guiding
me and I have no idea whose hand it is.
