I requested a family marriage record from a county in Texas last Friday as we need it to complete a VA form. " Here is the gist of the message: We are trying to find a date of marriage between, I believe, 1950 and 1960....and I gave them the names of the bride and groom." We had no idea when between 1950-60 they married. Today they emailed me the date and to get a copy it is $1 and certified $6. Can't get any better than that!!!!! There still are some very nice county clerks out there willing to go the extra mile to help.
