This may be a longshot. The city of Nordeste in São Miguel has a philharmonic band called 'Filarmónica Eco Edificante de Vila Nordeste'. My father played in that band between 1950 - 1958. If anybody has any photographs of this band during this period, could you please write me?
I found a blog through a search of Facebook with a current member. I asked her if historic photos of the band existed in her comment section. (again another longshot but i am awaiting a response for now). I also found an address for the band through an online search. (i'll wait to see if i get any responses here first though).
