Thank you, Eric and Cheri. I am trying to find out if this George Beattie is related to our Mary Beattie family (Cheri, the mother of Margaret Walter that we researched a few months ago.) One of the other brother's obit in 1895 listed a brother who lived in LA but the obit never gave the brother's first name and this obit also stated that 4 of the Beattie children came to the US and I thought it was only Mary. Someone recently sent me a couple of Mary's children's wills and lo and behold her brother Thomas and his wife had quick claimed some land to Mary in IL. Funny how these bits and pieces eventually find their way to us genealogist.
