Terri,

Manuel Soares de Medeiros is in my line and I have the same birth and death
record. He married Rosa Joaquina de Medeiros 11 Aug 1817. Their son Joao
Soares de Medeiros married Emilia de Jesus de Medeiros who is my 1st cousin
4 times removed.

Death records recorded an approximate, unconfirmed age of the deceased,
given verbally to the priest by a family member or friend and that was why
the record would say (58 years, more or less). During my family research
I've come across gaps of up to 10 years.
