My Greatgrandparents were Joseph Oliveira , born in 1863, from Sao Miguel, Pontu Delgada and Constancia de Azevedo Candelaria , born 1864, from Sao Miguel or Sao Jorge , Norte Pegueno. I'm not sure if the towns are spelled correctly. They were married in Hawaii. My grandmother, Mary, the eldest, was born in Honolulu, July 5, 1885. Joseph, born in 1889 was also born there. The family moved to Sausalito, Ca in 1890 because Constancia could not stand the big bugs in Hawaii. Four other children were born in Sausalito. Caroline, 1894, Rosie, 1899, Manuel, 1900 and George, 1906. I believe Constancia had sisters in Sausalito with the married name of Borba or Borges. Does anyone have a connection.
