Repost for Bob, rviara at cox.net My great-grandfather Manuel Viara was from Picos, born 27 June 1834, came to New Bedford on a whaling ship and settled in Amherst, MA as a farmer. According to his death certificate his parents were Manuel and Nancy Viara from Isle of Picos. I would love any information on Viara's from Pico.
