It's Shrove Tuesday for me; just finished having some malasadas.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] Shrove Tuesday

Today is Shrove Tuesday.  Also known in France as Fat Tuesady. Today we eat
- tomorow we fast.  ..In England Shrove Tuesday is called Pancake Day.  In the
news that I saw today, Prince Wiliam and Catherine were celebrating Shrove
Tuesday in North Ireland tossing pankcakes with children.  And it's a big day
in
Rio and in New Orleans it is a Mardi Gras celebration.

In Hawaii it is Malasada Day.... A tradition in Hawaii brought by the
Portuguese
Catholics from Madeira and the Azores

So my genealogist friends - eat and be merry today, for tomorrow we fast.
