Chris,

Next week I will go to Family History Center where I have A few microfilms from
Rosto de Cao, Sao Roque area in search for your ancestors

Did you have either parents name?

I noticed FrNcisco Joaquim was born in 1838- same year as J J de Lima and your
other brother was 1837 and my other ancestor was 1836 so these two sets of
brothers were same age, traveled on same ship. Had to have known each other.

Have you access to look at the actual microfiche from which names of
passengers were copied? I think they are at PROV.

Also, you would think they had to have some $ to make that journey. I
wonder if your ancestors traveled with parents. I noticed the Lima "boys"
traveled with father and "godfather".

I checked copies of newspaper clippings that I received years ago in search for
the names of your ancestor but no mention of your ancestors. If I cannot
fi d them in microfilm, maybe someone on List in the Dartmouth F H C will do a
look up.
