Sherry, I have quite a few wiith the name Goulart/ Gularte. some of my compound names include: Goulart Costa, Goulart Vieira, Costa Gularte, Lemos Gularte Rosa Gularte, Gularte Lemos and plain old Goulart from Sao Mateus (and Candelaria) on Pico.
Drop me a line if you thing any of your ancestors might align with mine. Almost all of mine are from the 1600 and 1700's.
