Hi Pat, I have a Antonio Joaquim de Carvalho b. abt 1810 married to a Lucrecia Umbelina in Gintes . I need to do more research on this line but have not gotten that far. I descend from their son Jacinto Joaquim de Carvalho who married Joaquina de Jesus Botelho in Ajuda, Bretanha 11 Jul 1850.

It would be interesting to discover if Antonio & Maria P. had other children (being Catholic..what to expect?) And if other siblings migrated to USA, Brasil or even to Hawaii. Is there anyone out there connected to these people? *Maria's parents: Joao Carvalho DeMelo, Jr. b. 1833 d. 1908 +Maria Guilihermina Bettencurto b. 1849 d. 1925 6 Maria's (#2 Maria Jose) Immigrated to Hawaii in 1882 aboard Hansa from Ponta Delgado.
