Sorry, but the way I understand the email is that Chris was asking for whaling crews LEAVING the Azores. Maybe Chris can clarify that. I don't know of any sources at all (online or in archives) that have whaling lists OUT of the Azores.
The links provided are for crews that docked in New Bedford. It wouldn't hurt to look however. If he was on a whaler, he could have docked in New Bedford before heading to Australia.
