Dear Group-- This is more in the lines of an FYI in case anyone is interested. Recently I sent an e-mail to Joao Ventura regarding the De Genere lists which are the records that candidates (in Portugal) for the priesthood had to submit to "prove" they were not Jewish. Well, this morning I received a response from Joao that he is currently working on putting those records online. To quote him [the website] "is currently under construction." Once he has it up and running the cost is US $50.00 and "the records will be permanently unlocked." This would probably only be of interest to people who have one or more priests in their family background. (I have two.)
