Sherry,

In Sao Miguel rua do Conde (Conde Street) in Ponta Delgada was in the
Parish of Sao Jose. I believe the name changed to rua Doutor Joao Francisco
de
Sousa (Doctor Joao Francisco de Sousa street).

Messrs meant that there were multiple misters i.e. Antonio, Oscar and
Antero. And Yes, it does say she was the Mother of Francisco and of Mr.
Antonio, Mr. Oscar and Mr. Antero Pacheco Horta.

Best,

Margaret

This lady was my gg grandmother. Oscar Pacheco Horta was my g grandfather.
When he came to the US he stayed in New Bedford. The family story is that
his brother, Francisco was a Professor in Brazil.

Now I wonder where Conde St. was. The family was supposedly from Ponta
Delgada, Sao Miguel. I wonder what is meant by Francisco being of Messrs?

Should I assume Antonio & Antero were her sons also? No one has mentioned
other sons. We knew of Oscar & Francisco.

I always tell people I help with family history, " when you find answers
you always find more questions."
Thanks again for your help Margaret.
Take care,
Sherry
