Hi, I have recently had a DNA match with a member of this group. The ancestors we share are
Jose Macedo Brum da Silveira b. 1766 Lajes do Pico whose descendants live in America., and his brother Manuel Macedo Brum da Silveira b1763 Lajes do Pico and died in Brazil. Manuel married Ana Maria da Assuncao b. Brazil d. Brazil. Ana Maria is an ancestor of mine through the emigration of her grandfather Estevao Rosa +1721 from Pico to Brazil. The common ancestors of Jose and Manuel must be their parents Manuel de Madruga 1735-1809 and Maria de Brum 1733?? or ancestors of their parents. I thought this would be straight forward but there is conflicting data on the parents of Maria de Brum b 1733??.
