What I know for this family:
Manuel Vieira (also spelled Vierra or Viera)
born 10 March 1873, Ribeirinha do Pico, Azores
arrived in US about 1901, settled in Sacramento, CA and sent for his
wife and children about 1904
father: Manuel Fernandes Vieira
born approximately 1838, Ribeirinha do Pico, Azores
occupation: stone mason
mother: Polqueria Jacinta
born approximately 1847, Ribeirinha do Pico, Azores
maternal aunt: Mariana Jacinta Machado; lived in Sacramento, CA
c.1940's, married to Manuel Machado
Mary Azevedo
born 15 August 1871, Azores
married to Manuel Vieira about 1891
arrived in US about 1904 with children: Manuel, John, Joseph, Mary,
Marshall & Frank
father: John Azevedo
mother: unknown
information for Manuel's parents is from an affidavit of birth completed in
US and cannot verify accuracy. Do not know of siblings for Manuel or Mary.
