Out of the 4 most popular genealogy software programs (for PCs) (Family Tree Maker, Legacy, The Master Genealogist, and RootsMagic), RootsMagic is the most simple and easiest to use. So if computers and new software make you nervous, you might want to look into this one. They also have user groups that you may be able to attend to get help too (if you prefer learning that way). If you are comfortable with computers and moan and groan when Windows has a new version and curse under your breath asking why did they have to move that THERE in Windows 7 (but you still find it and it only takes a few minutes), then this is NOT the software program for you.
