Thanks Cheri and Altino for responding so quickly. I think it might be Moranha or Morenha because the second vowel looks like other middle of the word "a"s. Maybe a misspelling of Morenha as an alcunha. There are some Pereira Moranhas that are listed as arriving in Hawai'i. Maybe someone else has an idea. This side of my family, Jose da Costa (Pimental) and his wife have given me quite a headache.
