Hi Jesse, The Azores site (CCA) has added nothing for Sao Miguel. They have revamped the site and are moving it, but no change in records. The person you are thinking of who used to work in the genealogy division of the CCA was Joao Ventura, but they put him somewhere else now. He has no further knowledge of the genealogy records on the CCA :(
Family Search has no indexing going on for the Azores. So basically, nothing has happened in 2 years, except they are migrating the CCA to a new web site.
