Margaret,

Sorry I neglected to refer to your Siqueira ancestor. I have a couple
of links to that surname, however, again w/o the Marangaia suffix.
My first link is a Maria Sequeira, daughter of Antonio Dias, and
Isabel Pires. Maria married Sergeant-mor Henrique Barbosa da Silva
prior to 30-Sep-1609. A second link is a Barbara Sequeira, dau. of
Agostinho Roiz Sequeira and Maria Roiz. Barbara married Capitao Manoel
Rebelo da Silva on 7-Jan-1641, Sao Jose, Ponta Delgada. Although, both
of these Sequeira women were from the Vila Franca area, I haven't
established a common relationship between them, nor, is there any
evidence that the children of either alliance carried the Sequeira
surname.
