Adair, You might also check for the name of Silveria. When I was a little girl there was a Joe Silveria that worked once and a while with my Dad. His Sons were Gerorge, Ralph and Joe Silveria. My dad would refer to them as the Silvas". Just a thought. This was in Sonoma Ca about the 1950 - 1960. Margie In a message dated 3/11/2012 10:45:22 A.M. I have gathered some new information on my great grandparents and hope someone finds this information familiar... Jennie Solomon Silva(b1857 Azores) arrived 1866/69 to Rhode Island with her 3 sisters(unknown?)to meet her father Joe Silva(b1821 Azores) who had arrived abt 1865. She met and married(1875) Manuel Borba(b1851 Azores) in Rhode Island and they migrated to California settling in Sebastopol. I believe that her father Joe Silva owned the Vinehill Ranch in Sebasopol, California. Manuel Borba and Jennie Solomon Silva raised 11 children in Sebastopol, Louis b1895, Charles b1893,William(Bill)b1886,Marieb1885, Virginia(died at 14)b1889,Emanuel(Manuel)b1878,Harry(my grandfather)b1899, George b1880, Joseph(Joe)b1881, Frankb1883 and Margaret b1889. Her brother Manuel Silva(b1851 Azores) arrived abt 1877 to Rhode Island and I believe he married had children all born in Rhode Island(most settling in RI). If I have the right people his wife was Mary b1854, children Manuel b1871, Antone b1872, Louisa b1884, John b1866 and Elizabeth(Lizzie) b1888.
