I was looking online today for portuguese societies in San Francisco,
CA to see if I could find anything new and ran across this collection
of oral histories of the Azores:

It is a series on oral histories which are in the UC Berkeley Bancroft
Library -  http://bancroft.berkeley.edu/  - they are not on line but
