I'm trying like heck to figure out which village on faial my grt grt grandfather Antonio Silveira Pereira came from. None of the information that I've gotten from the church in New Bedford where he got married in, his 2 kids were baptised in, in funeral was and the cemetery where he's buried have even hinted to where he came from. I know the date he landed in New Bedford 4/1/1888, he got married on 6/13/1897 at St. John the baptist church when it was on the corner of Wing St. to Maria Leal, their first daughter my grt grandmother Maria Pereira was born on 9/05/1898 and baptised on 10/05/1898, they lived in fairhaven for 3 yrs after their mariage then moved to south dartmouth where they lived until his wife died on may 31, 1932 and the rest of his life when he died july 6th 1957 at the age of 90. their birthdays are unknown. I thought we knew for sure that his wife's family was from Pico now I don't know. If you have any ideas I could use them...
