I'm assuming you are searching Massachusetts. You can order online, I believe I paid $10. Tell them you want any and all papers. Declaration of Intention, Naturalization Petition, Certificate of Arrival, Oath of Allegiance. Since you have the number, etc. it will be easy for them to find it or they will tell you who has them. But don't be too surprised if it does not tell you where exactly in Sao Miguel he came from. Your best bet for this is to find his ship's manifest and that might tell you or then you can go to the CCA site and find the record there, IF it is online and that might give you that info, if nothing else it will probably give you his parent's names.
