I finally received a copy of the Naturalization Record from the National
Archives and Records Administration for my Third Great Grandfather, Antonio M.
Borba. Unfortunately, it didn't give me any information I didn't already know
except that he was then currently residing in Tiburon. Attached is a copy if
anyone is interested.

Wow! Pretty interesting; thank you so much. I'll let you know what I find
from the Naturalization Records when I receive them. You and I just might be
related. Thanks, again.

Not necessarely. Back then last names could vary. Isabel father was
Joao Machado Borba. Would be perfeclty normal if Isabel son, Antonio, would
have been Antonio Machado Borba

Thank you for the information, but the Antonio below born Nov. 5 would
have the last name of Azevedo, not Borba, correct? I have no other information
about Antonio M. Borba's parents or siblings. Only that he married a woman
named Emilia, and they had approximately 6 children; 4 girls and 2 boys. Am I
missing something else in your data below?

I just ordered a copy of the Naturalization Records from the
National
Archives and Records Administration for my Third Great
Grandfather,
Antonio M. Borba, in search of records for my Second Great
Grandmother
Perpetua E. Borba. I've been browsing some of your posts. Does
anyone have any information on the Borbas that came from Sao
Jorge to
California. Antonio M. Borba was born Nov. 12, 1885, in the
Azores
Islands, St. George -- I got that information off of his World
War II
Draft Registration Card. Perpetua married Frank Bettencourt
Sylvia
and their daughter, Mary Dorothy Sylvia, is my great grandmother,
born
on May 7, 1894. Maybe some of you have these inidividuals in your
lineage? If so, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you.
