and to add:

You have to give a credit card number to get the FREE 14 day, or what
ever days are free. So Dick Eastman advises, unless you CANCEL your FREE
subscription and really do not want to pay. Purchase a prepaid credit card,
sign up for the FREE days on Ancestry, and then use your prepaid credit card
on groceries, or whatever, so that if you forget to Cancel before the last
Free day, there is NO Value left on the prepaid card and you won't be
charged for a new subscription.

I did just that....had a Verizon Rebate credit card, and used it for a new
Fold 3 account, which was on sale at 50% off for one year. Now I don't
have to remember in one year to cancel my subscription before the renewal
date.

FYI...Ancestry.com is having a free access period related to the 13
original colonies, plus other patriot records. Thought those that are not
members
might be interested.
