On the 29-Aug-1766 in the Parish of Sao Roque at Rosto do Cao's place present and in my presence .xxxx?..Manuel Pacheco de Sousa son of Antonio Pacheco and Vitoria de Sousa, already deceased, and Maria Francisca daughter of Manuel Tavares xxx?( can't read 3rd name) and of Apelonia de Sousa. Both baptized in this Parish Church of Sao Roque......The Vicar Jose? Jacome da Costa.....Witness Manuel da Costa Vieira. Hope this will be of some help. The scans are not the best but Rick as done an awesome job so far, lets hope we can get these completed and here is some extracts of what Rick was able to give me so you all know what area we are in: Manuel son of Manuel Francisco Muniz native of this parish Sao Roque in Rosto do Cao and Maria Rosa from the parish of the Apostle Sao Paul in the City (Ponta Delgada) Paternal grandson of Miguel Francisco Muniz and Francisca Jacinta, maternal grandson of Jose de Costa and Mariana de Espirito Santo, born 24 Oct 1826 and baptized 6 November of the same year. God parent are Jose Cabral and his wife Jacinta Anna. The key is you have a parish Sao Roque which is in the villiage of Rosto do Cao. Rosto do Cao is located just outside of the city of Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel.
