Tres Reis Magos or the official Santos Reis Magos, is one of two churches in Fenais da Ajuda. The other is NS da Ajuda, is very beautiful and now is more like a chapel. Fenais da Ajuda is the current name of the village and its older name, no longer in use, was Fenais da Vera Cruz. It is very old and includes Criacao, Ribeira Funda and Lomba da Sao Pedro. It is part of the concelho of Riberia Grande. Many people migrated from Maia to Fenais da Ajuda and vice versa. But alos to parts of Ribeira Grande. Be careful when researching Maia, because the early records of Lomba da Maia and Furnas are located in Maia proper. If you need help, send me an email. JR
