My sister's daughter is a Chaves from Santa Maria. There is a book about
the family called, if I remember correctly, The Book of Chaves. I purchased
this book a few years ago from someone in the islands.
If you can write in English, maybe I can help you. I do not
read/write/speak Portuguese.
