Hello Deb, I don't know if this will help or not but it's worth a try. I searched the internet for posts made by Connie [email protected] & then crossed referenced those family names she searched for on Ancestry and there is one tree (Huter Family Tree) that has all the names she was searching for including John Martins. She stop using [email protected] around September/October 2000. Then Ledbeth56 started posts using this handle searching for the same people. Her email address is [email protected]. Liz lives in NY. If it's not her maybe she knows [email protected] or can help you with your family connection. Liz is 55 years old which is also around the age Connie would be.

Apparently upon arrival in NE the name Martinez became Martins. John Martins name at death 11/24/1984 was John LeDoux - does anyone have a knowledge about a Maria Martins - I think she must have remarried to a LeDoux or gave up the child for adoption. Also Maria is buried in Rhode Island. If this rings a bell - please email me as we are at a dead end with this.
