I have also recently joined this group. I have alot of info on my
Grandfathers side because he was a descendent of Jose De Arruda
Botelho e Camara (1852 ) and Ana Leite Borges Bicundo from Sao
Miguel . What I am having difficulty researching is my Grandmothers
side. She is from Faiaal-I believe Cedros born 8/12/1893 and her name
was Mary Amelia Dutra. Her parents I believe were Frank P. Dutra and
Rose Amelia Dutra. She married my grandfather in Newport RI 5/4th
1914. I believe the P in her parents name was for Perry. Other names
that seemed to be linked are Escobar and Rosa or Da Rosa. She is also
in some way related to Meredith Vieira formerly of The Today Show. Any
guidance this group could give me in this search would be appreciated.
