I don't like to get picky about things, certain things make searching the archives difficult. Especially when someone remembers a post and can't find it in the archives/web board. And the person was researching their family on _____. After some time, I can find it, but the island was misspelled. So can you put a post-it on your computer for the spelling of certain islands?
All islands named after a male saint start with Sao. (Don't put the Spanish San in there). (I'm talking about the islands only here. I'm aware of other Saint things, but that's not the topic here). Sao Miguel Sao Jorge Faial has had a modernization in it's spelling. Modern is Faial. Old is Fayal. I realize some people put the spelling as they see it, but it would be good to put the modern spelling of Faial some where in the post so it can be searched that way too. If anyone wants all 9 Azores islands here they are with modern, Portuguese spellings: Santa Maria Sao Miguel Terceira Graciosa Sao Jorge Pico Faial Flores Corvo Thanks!
