Looking for Florindo Jose Fernandes (born 24 July 1874 in Piedade, Pico), his
brother Manuel, and sister Maria. They are the children of Florindo Jose and
Emilia Constancia also of Pico. I hope that learning more about them will help
me find out more about my direct line. Does someone recognize any of these
names?
Florindo "Sr." ("Sr." for clarity's sake only), Emilia, and son Florindo
"Jr."(clarity again) made a number of trips across the pond. In two documents,
they are entering the U.S. and going to the home of their daughter/sister. I
am having trouble making out her last name. She is listed as England? Anglund?
Angland? on Ancestry.com. In 1904, she is residing at 98 Thompson Street in
New Bedford. I do know that Florindo "Sr." had dual citizenship and that
Florindo "Jr." is a U.S. citizen.
All of their U.S. records point to the New Bedford area until 1909 when
Florindo "Jr." is found residing in Petaluma, Sonoma, CA.
I can not find any of them in the census. Fingers crossed that someone on the
list has a connection to the neighborhood, the family, or something.
