Hi Manoel, I'd just like to offer an FYI. My husband's grandfather, Antonio PACHECO, was born in the village of Sao Roque in 1885. I'm told it is a village directly beside Ponta Delgada. "Tony" was killed in a car accident in 1928 in Massachusetts. His death certificate showed his parents as Joao PACHECO and Jacintha (de Jesus) COSTA. Unfortunately, that is all I know about them. I realize you are discussing the village of Sao Roque 100 yrs. before this PACHECO family lived there. Since I don't know anything else about Joao and "Jessie," I don't know how long the PACHECO name was present in Sao Roque. Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)
