Greetings, friends and cousins! First of all, many thanks to Lee who caught my attention looking for Ana Joaquina de Souza. When Pam found her sister, Antonia, I realized that she was my Great Grandmother and it prompted me to resume my research of my Mom's fraternal side in Ajuda Bretanha. The brick wall that I have is Antonia's husband, Francisco de Camara Benevides. Someone was kind enough to share his descendant file with me a few years back and my line was verified by other family members. However, I was also informed that Francisco was a foundling who was raised by the de Camara Benevides family and took the de Souza name when he married my great grandmother. If anyone has any info on him or his line or knows where I can go about researching I'd be grateful. Just the little that's been unearthed this week has been more than I've discovered since I began 5 years ago.
