Hi Sam I am having trouble working out how to reply to these posts. Hope this one makes it. Thank you very much for your assistance. I am interested in whether the names of the parents would most likely be the parents of the deceased. ? Perpetua Rosa was his second wife you see, my GGGrandma being Vitorina his first wife. Christiano's eldest son was named Joaquim - maybe after Maria Joaquina. However, all the same names keep coming up. I wonder if he was really 103. That would be unusual one would think. Pity it doesn't say when he was born. I have found a baptism of a child to Christiano and Vitorina - Manuel - who would be a brother to my GGrandpa Joaquim. I will keep searching for more obits and baptismos. Finding these records and even the information so far is "gold" so I am very grateful for your interest and assistance.
