Hi Pam, I think the first record you asked about… the father's surname is Camelo. (Mateus Camelo)
Now onto the second one. the flourish that the priest writes with and connecting the letters is odd. I think the name is Mateus as well (or Matheus), but the handwriting in this instance looks more like it could be Cardoso, but it is missing the 'd', so although it looks like it could be, i really don't think it is.
