Sondrea: If you can get to the State Library in Sacramento, CA, you might be
able to find the marriage info. Actually, it would probably be at the State
Archives, which is about a block from the library.
I don't know if you can get it from the Alameda County Courthouse in Oakland.
Mission San Jose is in Alameda County.
I don't think that it would do you any good to go to the church in Mission San
Jose, as my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin lived there. My cousin couldn't get any
info from the church.
Let me know if you find out where they came from as my husband has ancestors
from Faial and Sao Jorge.
Do you know where in America he went to in 1865?
Have you tried looking on an immigration list?

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] Julius Francisco Pinheiro de Escobar married
Amelia Emilia de Silviera

Trying to find Azores connection for my great grandparents. Julius Francisco
Pinheiro de Escobar was born at Fayal June 1846 and came to America around
1865. He married Amelia Emilia de Silviera at Mission San Jose 1870. She
immigrated from Sao George about 1868-69. I don't know who their parents were
or any other information regarding them before they left the Azores. HELP!!!!
