Paul G, All genealogy software programs do this. It's probably labeled "Relationship" or "Relationship Calculator" or something along those lines.
The person would have their line entered between the common ancestor and themselves. Then you would run the relationship calculator between you and that person. It would tell you if they are a 2nd cousin, twice removed or whatnot. All current genealogy software programs have extensive charting formats that the user can pick from. Fan charts, box charts, pedigrees, and the list goes on. Hope this helps, Cheri Mello Listowner, Azores-Gen Researching: Vila Franca, Ponta Garca, Ribeira Quente, Ribeira das Tainhas, Achada -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected].
